Because Microsoft, like all large software companies that aren't part of the Open Source community, see us only as people who buy stuff out of desperation. You're not entitled to support of the product after you buy it because your repeat business is not important to Microsoft. The only way that any of us will ever be important to Microsoft is to stop using their expensive bloatware and switch to Linux with alternative communication methods.
