This makes it possible to juxtapose disparate components of your track, perhaps taking a hi-hat from the chorus, for example, and cutting it into a verse.

For example, Track-based automation will need to be converted to Region-based automation if you want parameter moves to exist within a cell. The divider at the top of the window allows you to switch between active areas, so that you can quickly flick between working in the traditional linear fashion and in the loop-based workflow. But this switching can also be applied on a track-by-track basis.
From a live perspective, this allows you to have some tracks, such as the vocals, running from the linear timeline, while others run from the loops grid, with components able to be dropped in and out of both. This may not be something you do on stage but it illustrates how Live Loops can make your approach to arrangement in Logic Pro X more performative — in effect, your studio becomes the stage.
That way, you can always return to the original version of the song should anything go wrong. The Folder names are different now. The Soundtrack Pro folder within 'Apple Loops' is gone. I can detail out the relevant folder names later Or possibly. In my case I deleted LP9 about a week ago, I'm not likely to re-install it. All I seem to be missing now is the measly My system downloads all I have no idea what's in that Since ALL of my other app and content downloads have downloaded and installed just fine thank you ,. I have to suspect a bug in the code for this particular 'Complete Sound Library' download rather than the typical fixes for this.
I tried booting my Mac in safe mode, since one user on this forum said that fixed this message for him. But then Logic basically would not load in safe mode. I got the pinwheel for 5 minutes and bailed out.
Im not sure why you deleted Logic Pro 9 as it only saved you about MB in doing so unless you uninstalled anything else at the same time In every case I have dealt with this issue.. The '5 secs to go' problem..
This is another symptom of the fact you have an issue with your system drive and permissions or corruption related problem.. As to why the new Sys Account fix didn't work for you may indicate a deeper problem I tried 'Download All Available Sounds' for the 30th time in two days.

When I was told of the potential issue by Apple, I knew that I was not going to spend any additional time to remove or reinstall Mainstage for only 2 missing files Alchemy's Atmospheric and Cinematic. I used my iPhone to create a personal hotspot and switched my Macbook Pro to use my iPhone to connect to the internet and the missing files immediately downloaded with no problems!
Your internet provider may be caching hold or filter large file sizes like a toll road and you will never see know it! Who knows how many failed time killing, downloads are actually the fault of the internet provider than any hardware or software providers?

That is the path the symbolic link will point to and also the name it will use for the symbolic link file itself. If one would be so tight on space that gb is essential to remove, a hard drive upgrade is definitely the right way to approach the problem.

In this case, the newly created loop can only be a one-shot hit that ignores tempo data and maintains a fixed duration. A quick edit ensuring the desired region is nicely edited to a bar or beat in the project will do the trick. We can also create Apple Loops in this way by using a simple naming convention in the appropriate field. If you have a set of drum loops you want stored as a set in your Loop Browser, just use the same name followed by consecutive numbers: Drum Loop 01, Drum Loop 02, Drum Loop 03, etc.
In the other direction, all pattern and MIDI-based Apple Loops will automatically become an audio region when dropped onto an audio track with all of the FX and routing baked in. You can find them just like any other Apple Loop — via the many search functions in the Loop Browser — or by hitting the Loop Packs menu along the top and navigating to the My Loops pack.
While you could manually drop each of these files onto the timeline and do the process above to create Apple Loops, that can be particularly tedious. And this is where Untagged Loops come in handy. But you can now access these audio clips like any other, audition them in your project with a similar fluid-tempo, or not. By right-clicking on any of these Untagged Loops in the Loop Browser you can select whether to preview them at the current project tempo or the original speed.
Not to mention how readily available this makes all of these sound sources to the new drag and drop to Sampler instrument functionality — subsequently opening up another massive number of new software instrument possibilities every time you drag a new loop pack into your system.

Click the top of the divider to ensure that the Live Loops grid is active. Move the first three audio regions on the next track to the Live Loops grid.
They should now populate the first three cells. You can click any loop to play it but only one loop will play from each track. Populate the rest of the grid, working on the basis that the structure of the song Intro, Verse, etc is mirrored in the columns of the grid, which, in the world of Live Loops, are called scenes. You can trigger scenes using the arrows at the bottom, triggering all the loops associated with that scene.
The best way to trigger different scenes and cells within the project is to use Logic Remote on an iPad or iPhone, as the multi-touch interface makes it easier to trigger multiple loops at the same time.
The Remix FX plug-in, which can be opened as a plug-in across the main stereo bus or activated via the Logic Remote app, lets you apply various DJ-like treatments across the main output of the mix. Cells work much the same as regions — you can record into them and edit the information they contain.

It may take some time when re-indexing from GB - sometimes minutes! When you say "samples", are you talking about. I had a bit over 20, apple loops in my browser. I've deleted loads. Down to 5, and still deleting. Too much to trawl through otherwise. Does this mean you can't delete loops in Logic X? Does it just keep trying to download the content? I'm on v9. I kind of thought Impulse Responses were 'control data' and so I've kept them on my system drive.
